This pretty little thing is designed for people who spend the majority of their desk time on their computer, tablet and phone.

As you’ve probably guessed it is actually suited to analogue work too, as it is still, ye know… a table. But look how pretty it is!

With integrated lighting and plug sockets the only thing that irks me is that the lighting chord isn’t recessed into a grove in the wood, same goes for the plug chord underneath the desk. Both chords run parallel to a beam, which would make this a cinch. There is a time and a place for artfully awry chords (glass lamps with thick, red chords balled-up inside spring to mind) and this desk is not it.

Bugbears aside, where this desk sings is in the edges. Which, to me, means it’s a bloody good piece of ass furniture. Very slightly bevelled wood. Ooh-Eer. The soft tapering of the A-frame at the top, after the light fixture, is really good design and draws my eye up the A-frame and off the top of the piece.

Viewed front on, the ‘lean in’ of the frame adds to its stability and sense of purpose. A sneaky little storage shelf, out of view, ticks my box too. Give me all the storage.

There is an LED all the way along that top beam to make sure there is even light over your work and it is angled properly too. I constantly get ribbed for having ‘all the lights in the world’ on in order to work properly (Sorry bill paying lover!). I was definitely told and re-told as a child that I’ll ruin my eyes reading in the semi-dark.

I don’t think I really believed them but the need for bright light has seeped in to my core and is going no-freaking-where. This desk enables me in my light addiction. I must have it.
